Check In & Check Out:

Our process is very easy and convenient.  Did we mention it is also contactless?

Check-in is at 3:00PM.  Early check-in at 1:00PM is based on availability, and incurs an additional fee of $50. Prior notice is preferred but not required.

On the day of your expected check in, our Innkeeper Rhonda will connect with you, usually by text and inform you of your room number and digital door code.  Rhonda lives onsite and The Briarcliff Phone number is (413) 528-3000.

Check-out is just as simple! Any time before 11am – when you are ready, you can leave your room and your receipt from your stay will be emailed to you.


We take reservations online and over the phone. The Briarcliff Phone number is (413) 528-3000 and can be contacted for reservations during business hours 7:30am-6pm.

The Red Lion Inn, our sister property down the road in Stockbridge, MA can assist you with afterhours reservations. The number is (413) 298-5545.  The Red Lion Inn can also be of any assistance and your point of contact if Rhonda is not available.


Your credit card will hold the reservation and may be charged up to 48 hours prior to your stay. There will be a full refund of your deposit if you cancel at least 2 days prior to your arrival date, by 3pm. If you cancel within 48 hours of your arrival date, you will be charged for the first night’s room rate and tax.

Pet Policy:

Welcome to the pet-friendly Briarcliff Motel!

Briarcliff does not charge a standard pet fee. We understand the importance of accommodations that-cater to both you and your pet. We want to ensure a safe, comfortable stay for you and our fellow guests. As a courtesy we ask that the following guidelines be observed:

  • Be sure to clean up after your pet. Dogs are not permitted to dig or relieve themselves in the gardens. Solid waste MUST be removed and disposed of in the designated area.
  • Please be sure to take your pets out with enough time so that there are no accidents in the room. If your pet does have an accident, please report it to the Inn Keeper Rhonda, (413) 528-3000. Please note, if you need service for your room – we have not been servicing rooms during COVID. No room will be serviced with an uncontained animal.
  • Please do not groom/bathe your pets in the room and do not allow pets on the beds
  • Pets must be on a leash at all times when you are walking outside as to be considerate of other guests. Well behaved pets CAN be left unattended in your room.
  • Disturbance or intimidation by your pet will not be tolerated. Any disturbances such as barking must be curtailed to ensure other guest satisfaction.
  • The Briarcliff Motel reserves the right to charge your account proportionate to the cost of such damages. Please be aware of your responsibility to make reimbursements on demand for any expenses incurred including compensation to other guests due to disturbances or inconveniences caused by your pet.
  • Please acknowledge that you will hold harmless Briarcliff, its owners and its operators from all liability and damage suffered as a result of your pet.
