Wahconah Country Club

When it comes to golfing in the Berkshires, this golf course tops our list—and we think it’ll top yours as well. Wahconah Country Club is a semi-private, championship 18-hole course located in the eastern hills of Berkshire County. Hit the front nine for open fairways and panoramic mountain views before experiencing the club’s crown jewels: the tree-lined fairways and challenging greens of the back nine. Though membership options are available, the club also welcomes public play.   

Stockbridge Golf Club

Now known as one of the top golf courses near Stockbridge, this golf club was founded in 1895 on the banks of the Housatonic River amidst the stunning Berkshire Hills. Home to the Stockbridge Golf Club Men’s Invitational, this course offers a unique challenge with an alluring backdrop to players of all levels. Beyond the course, you can expect to find a community of active and outgoing sport lovers. 

Donnybrook Country Club

Donnybrook Country Club in Lanesboro, Massachusetts is a unique 9-hole course that overlooks the beautiful Berkshire Mountains. Tee off into a sea of green in the summer or hit the course in the fall for a spectacular show of colorful foliage. Open from dawn till dusk, this country club is a great place to spend the day if you’re looking to have some fun while improving your game. 

Bas Ridge Golf Course

This family-run public golf course in the heart of the Berkshires features 18 holes, a fully stocked bar, and a hot dog and snacks hut. It prides itself on offering golfers of all skill levels a great course at an affordable price. Daniel Alderman has impressively held the course record of 64 (-6) since October 2007, so if nothing else, we recommend visiting simply to see if you can snag this title. Also note that this course is cash only, an important thing to remember in our day and age.
